I'm Alyona. I've been photographing people since 2008—in Kyiv, in Berlin, and everywhere in between.

People often tell me, seeing their photos for the first time: I didn't know I could look like that. But they always could—they just hadn't seen it yet. That's what drives my work. I photograph the beauty that's already there, sometimes before you recognize it yourself.

The way I get there is by making the process feel effortless. I want you relaxed, unhurried, not thinking about the camera. You bring yourself, I take care of everything else—quickly, reliably, down to the last detail.

Portraits, love stories, film, commercial work—seventeen years behind the camera have taught me to work with both feeling and precision. I don't believe those two things are opposites.
